Day to day

So, I've pretty much mostly posted about places we go see and fun things we do, but not so much about our day to day lives. It can get pretty busy. Here's a typical schedule.

7:50- take Harper to pre school
8:00- take Matt to work
9:00- mon and fri workout. If there is nobody to do a kid swap for crossfit then I will drop Max off at hourly care on Wednesday I go workout at night.
10:30- home to get ready for the day, or run errands until I pick Matt up for lunch at 11:00
11:00- lunch with Matt
12:30- drop Matt off at work
1:00 Max nap and my study or cleaning time
2:50- go pick Harper up from school
3:00- either go play at a park on post, the library, or hang out and play at home
4:15- leave to pick Matt up from work (he's technically finished at 4:30 but he's gotten off early many days so we are "on call" to pick him up)
5:00- run errands or come home and get dinner ready
6:30- bath time and get kids ready for bed.
7:00- bed time

After that, we do whatever we need to do before bed. We usually head to bed no later than 10:00 now. Matt had to be up by 5:20 to get to PT at 6. He comes home at about 7:20 and helps get the kids ready.

I started going to PWOC (Protistent women of the chapel) because a friend from church is teaching on of their classes. I LOVE the book we are studying. It's called "Your Beautiful Purpose." My friend is an amazing teach. The book and it's study guide have been helping me a ton with getting through the rough times I've been having. Anyway, PWOC, under the military, encompasses all religions that are non Catholic, not Jewish or non Christian. So, that includes us as LDS. There have been problems with many women dealing with an LDS facilitator (teacher), which has been heartbreaking. But, it will work itself out the way it's supposed to. Anyway, that class is Wednesday mornings from 9-11:30. They have a nursery for the kids.

Matt and I have also been called to teach the adult religion class on Tuesday nights. We are starting this week and I'm pretty nervous. I'm glad we were called to teach together. It's the manual "Jesus Christ and the Everlasting Gospel."

Anyway, that's our day to day life. I'll post a few pictures from those times.

This is one of those times we hung out and waited on post until Matt was finished with work
I had to post this pizza. We had friends over and this is the most perfect we've had homemade pizza end up and I was pretty proud of it.
Harper missed a day of school last week cuz Matt had it off, so she had some homework coloring to do
Normal shopping day at the osan Air Force base commissary (ours is pretty small and lacking). The kids insist on having their own carts.
I don't k ow why, but I love these little Lego things. I still have 3 more to put together for now. They have TONS of these.

Harper's firsts- preschool and gymnastics

Thursday was one of the craziest days we have had. It started off getting Harper off to her first day of preschool. Due to a wait list on post, we got Harper into a preschool called "Kids English" off post. I need to take pics of it. It's all day, 5 days a week. She starts at 8 and goes until 3. I was a bit nervous thinking that would be too much for her, but after two days, she seems to be okay.

Right after dropping her off, we took Matt to work and then went home for about 45 mins. Then I had orientation at the child development center to enroll Max in hourly care. That will be a last resort if I can't find someone to watch him if I need it. He really wanted to stay and play anyway lol. I almost wanted to take Harper out if her preschool and send her there because it seems so much more interactive. But, she's in a wait list.

After that, I headed straight to pick Matt up for lunch so he could take Max while I went to the first event for the United club (spouses club). It was a lot of fun. Lunch and bingo. It was nice to see some friends I hadn't seen in a couple of weeks.

During that time, Matt picked Harper up and took her to her first day of gymnastics. Then, he had to come back and pick me up so that I could take him back to work and then pick Harper up and take her back to school. Luckily, we had a great friend there who em stayed with Harper until I got there. The coach had some leotards for sale, so we got one for Harper and she wants to live in it now. All she does is "gymnastics" around the house now.

Max also really wants to go to gymnastics now so we may put him in it.

So, after that craziness, I got Max down for a nap after a bit of a fuss, was able to do a little cleaning, and then had to wake him up to go pick Harper up at 3. I had literally just gotten the kids out of the car and in the house when Matt called to tell me the power had gone out so he was finished for the day. So, back into the car and on our way to post we went. Needless to say, by the time we were finished, I was exhausted!!

Anseong farm

So, we were trying to figure out what to do Monday, matts last day of his second 4 day weekend since we got here (he has another one coming up next weekend). I had read a friend's blog post from here and she posted about Anseong Farm. She said it was close and had fun things for the kids so we checked it out. It was not at all what we expected. It had a lot more. We thought it was just a small petting zoo, but it's more like a small park.

The kids got to pet a bunch of animals. We rode on a tractor ride around the whole farm, and the kids and I rode a small carousel. Their highlight was the trampoline room though. It was a pretty cute place. Harper made out with a little bow and arrow, which she is pretty good at shooting. I was surprised. She loves it too. One of these days we need to stop spoiling the kids.

The tractor ride around the farm.

Some of the different animals.

This turkey was chasing a specific female and she was not having it.

This was a 3D art exhibit with tons of paintings that showed you how to take pics to appear to be in the scene. The kids weren't too interested so we didn't get to try it out much.

Everland

So this will be a post of mostly pictures. Last Saturday, we decided to brave the Chuseok craziness and head to Everland. It's one of the amusement parks here. When we first got there it seemed so great for kids, but then we realized how ridiculous their height regulations for the rides were. In the kids land, Max was tall enough for their equivalent of the tea cups, and a room where you shoot really soft balls at each other. Harper could go in all of them, but was too afraid of the roller coaster. Max wasn't even tall enough to go play in the playground. He even tried to sneak in and they kicked him out. It was pretty funny!

So, I thought we had waisted our money, but we found the carnival type rides that worked for everyone. That made it more worth it for sure. We went on a few of those before heading to see the animals. What made it the most worth it though, was the safari ride. We waited for probably 45 mins, but it was amazing. I wish we had our computer so I could post videos. The lions and tigers were all over the place just hanging out. The Bears did lots of tricks. That alone was worth it all. We really enjoyed the day, and by the end, we were exhausted! We would go back for sure.

Harper asked me to take a pic of her. That thing around her neck is what she got her popcorn in. Max got a Thomas the train one.
This monkey was doing backflips and anything else possible to get food from people watching.
A wallaby. There were two kangaroos but they were trying to hide.
A cute baby lion
An even cuter baby orangutan
A few pics of the bear playing basketball for treats

This one was clearly following orders for treats, but since it was in Korean, we had no idea.
Cute big guy
Another one hanging out in the side of the road. They look so playful lol
We got lots of different bears that would stand and walk with the bus to get treats.

One of the few regular tigers.
They he about 20 lions at all different stages in life.

The white tigers were beautiful. I loved watching the one sitting in the roof of one of the special tour cars. I didn't post that pic because it was somewhat distant.

They had a bunch of Korean games and instruments out in the quad due to the holiday. It was pretty cool

Max in the ball room trying to shoot his dad. He loved it!
Ice cream of course.
Harper and I one of the rides she was tall
Enough for but Max wasn't.
The throw up ride lol. They loved it though.
This little guy, Poro, is their iconic character for kids. We went to a 3D show while we were there. Harper loved it, Max for a nap during it lol

All the pics we took when we first got into the park.
